Hi, my name is Valerie, and I am a Sriracha addict! I put it on everything, from salads to tofu, to vegan fried chicken, and these Miso Sriracha Glazed Chickpeas are my new all-time favorite. The savory, spicy, and slightly sweet glaze on the chickpeas is soooo good! It’s a great weeknight recipe, and even better as leftovers for lunch the next day. I had all of the ingredients in already in my refrigerator for this and I served it with some ramen noodles and steamed frozen broccoli, it couldn’t get any easier.

Miso Sriracha Glazed Chickpeas
2 tbs white miso paste
1 tbs light brown sugar
1 tbs reduced sodium soy sauce or liquid aminos
1 tbs toasted sesame oil
¼ cup mirin
2 cloved garlic, minced
2 ½ tbs Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha
2 15.5 oz cans chickpeas or 3 cups cooked chickpeas
In a small bowl combine miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, sriracha, & mirin, set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the sesame oil and 20 seconds later add the chickpeas.
Saute the chickpeas for 3-4 minutes until warmed, add the garlic and saute for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Lower the heat to medium, add the miso/sriracha mixture and saute until chickpeas are coated and glazed. It should take about 2-3 minutes
